Mountain Book Company was formed in December, 2005 to serve as a sort of "virtual wholesaler " for selected small publishers. It intends to provide book stores and libraries with a single source for electronically ordering these publishers' titles without adding dozens of new vendors to their purchasing database.

Mountain Book Company is a member of Pubnet, the Electronic Data Interchange arm of Bowker which serves three thousand book stores and other clients, especially college book stores and Christian stores. Initially, we expect to be useful for small special orders.

It was formed by Kenn Amdahl of Clearwater Publishing Company, and it will provide an EDI portal for all Clearwater titles, as well as for a few other compatible publishers.
